No lying
"[T]he pastor is probably the most-lied-to person in the community" (Eugene Peterson|Living the Message: Daily Help for Living the God-Centered Life|x)! "People [don't use] words to tell [pastors] who they [are], but who they [want them] to think they [are], and to keep [them] in our place" (ibid|xi). Putting the best construction on things, thank God we actually care about who others think we are. As for putting pastors in their place, thankfully many are already there. For those who aren't, and for the times when they aren't--isn't that just about all of us?--thank you for helping us remember. Reminds of Max Lucado's definition of humility: "Not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less."
